The lack of US media attention to this critical time in Iran is unfortunate and surprising. Thank you for shedding light on developments.

Very well written.

Mr.Khamenei has run out of options. How about his close circle of loyalists. They might already be looking for a Deng Xiaoping. Exrem crisis is the only possession for the nation.

Brilliant anaysis of how Iran's forced reliance on barter with China reveals something deeper than just sanctions evasion. The fact that oil is becomming a substitute currency for entire minstries shows how thoroughly the regime has lost control over basic monetary policy. I've seen similar dynamics in Venezuela wherenatural resources stop functioning as export goods and start functioning as the actual medium of state financing. When that happens the entire concept of budgeting becomes fiction.
